How can coaching help?

The goal is to help you focus on your goals and your potential for excellence through creating awareness and responsibility, and developing the tools and support to remove barriers and facilitate change.

Sport Psychology, is one of the major roots of coaching. I have expert knowledge and a research base in sport and performance psychology, as well as being familiar with other psychology disciplines. This gives me an in depth understanding of how our thoughts and behaviours impact on our performance in different environments, situations and developmental stages.

What are my professional codes of practice?

As a member of British Psychological Society, British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences and the Association for Coaching, I practice:

Is it therapy?

No. The focus is on developing potential, future success, planning and personal growth. Coaching does not attempt to heal past hurts or emotional trauma and clients who might benefit from a therapeutic relationship will be advised to consult a more appropriate professional.

Individual coaching can be in person or by phone. Work with teams is generally in person, either on-site or at an appropriate location.

The essence of coaching is developing awareness and self-responsibility. You can expect powerful and clarifying questions, focus, planning tools, exercises, reviews and accountability. I am results focused, will have high expectations of clients and support them thoroughly.

Is it worth the investment?

Client's programmes are set up based on individual requirements. If you are cautious about spending money and concerned about getting the best from your investment, ask yourself 'am I/are we worth it?' Your fee is an investment in yourself that pays big dividends.
